A Porcelain Face

Behind those eyes you hide all your pain,

Twisted views ride on your shoulders.

Shattered heart just barely beating,

crushed dreams leaving empty meaning.

So much that you have lost and suffered,

As days go it begins to consume you.

Your face shows no emotion bland and detached,

Yet your heart cries out spilling over.

A porcelain face starting to crack,

Fine lines distorting such beauty.

Bruised and broken you still push on,

Never healing you carry this burden.

Seen as my first new post was all about love and soul mates I decided the second could be a bit more about this blog and me as a person, SO let me start off by saying that I am really glad to be writing again as I have been what I like to refer to as ‘dry’ simply it means I have lacked motivation and inspiration to write anything for the past 6-7 months, this being said I would like to thank a dear friend for inspiring me to write again without her I’d still be moping around bored at home with nothing to do haha

The purpose of this blog now that it has been revived is for me to write about what I am getting up to aswell as a blank canvass for my poetry and any expressive writing that I have or going to do. I truly love writing, it allows you to be free with hat you are saying and you can paint a picture in the reader’s mind that only THEY can see – it is non-standardised. It is awesome to sit back and read what you have written because you can create something beautiful without the need of a visual in front of you to admire.

This blog is also a step in the right direction of getting my work published, I lack the confidence to approach a publisher and ask them if they are interested as I do not have enough feedback on my work which makes this a perfect platform for people to read what I write and give me constructive feedback and opinions about my work. In turn this will build confidence and push me to approach someone who can help me get my work shared for all to be able to read world-wide. I write from pure emotional standpoints so even tho it may not directly be what I am going through I am able to submerge myself into an emotion and write from that perspective.

Soul mate, such a simple word yet it holds such immense meaning. As most will agree you can associate “The one person who you are destined to be with. The one person who understands you and the one person that you might argue you cannot live without.” with it.

All these expressions only barely explain the true meaning of the word, I don’t think any human would ever understand what makes someone your soul mate but what I can tell you is that you meet that person when you least expect it and that you feel complete inside.You may not even realise it at the time but it happens. My favourite expression about soul mates is it’s the person you are the most YOU around, You are completely transparent with them and they are your best friend – they are that person you want to run to when feel like crying or when you have something to share no matter how small it may be and in either of those situations they can make you laugh even if only a little.

I keep referring to that ‘one person’ but really it is only one person. I am hopeless romantic and do believe in love at first sight, well in all fairness “love” but you get my point… I have only experienced this once in my very short life of 18 years in existence where I met a complete stranger and immediately felt a connection I couldn’t explain and still can’t. It was under one of the most beautiful moons I have ever seen where the clouds made it look like a massive white ring was around it, I felt alive. Every nerve was tingling in my body and never before had I been so aware of another persons presence. It almost felt surreal and that I was living a fairytale but how else do you explain something like that? I mean you almost want to slap yourself to make sure you not dreaming, “editors note: hahaha love that expression” but one has to still keep reality even tho faced with such a perfect situation, I will remember that night for the rest of my life can still remember every single detail and recall every emotion I felt – weird huh? Is this person my soulmate? Who knows but I have not given up hope yet.

I am gonna end this post with a warm welcome to my blog and I hope that you too can enjoy this adventure with me as I write and share everything with I imagine to be an anonmyous crowd.

A heart wrapped in stone
warped without a beat
its hard as a bone.

not a shimmer of hope
nor a twinkle of light
it falls deeper and deeper into this silence

none appreciate it
none show it love
its been hurt so many times
its thrown aside

pushed away
without a glimmer for a new day……

The sun shines brightly over my head
as the wind blows swiftly pushing ahead
I stop to think
I think of you, such a beautiful girl
a girl that is so loving and true.
I gather my thoughts and wipe the tears from my eyes
such an angelic face that’s so very wise

The movement around me stops

It becomes dark and cold, my hands go numb as I lose my hold
on life, on this amazing girl, on everything i thought was real.
As I sink deeper into this hole, about to give up hope when I see a tiny light.

Another fish in the sea glowing and glowing just right for me.
The darkness begins to unfold, I am reborn with every chance to uphold
A new love, a new beginning, a new page in the chapters of life.

Winter has Gone and Spring has Sprung

As the last of the winter breeze blows gently,
it carries the savour of a flower’s new breath,
a sweet and delicate scent
tickling ones nose with utter delightfulness.
reminding one sadly of frail dead leaves
gently being blown away closing the past,
bringing with it the promise of new beginnings.
where once weightless leaves hung with an expended breath
now being blown further, further away into the distance.

A new beginning, A new start…..
Each spring with it brings
a sense of peace and beauty,
Bees humming in their honeyed clusters,
Birds chirping with the joy,
that spring has sprung

life is a bliss existence we live
people come and go like the leaves of a tree
some grow in us like wild flowers with no limitations
and free hearts to be just who they are meant to be
